geckos and anoles?

ok i hav a female green anole and im getting a leopard gecko and many ppl hav said i could house them 2gethr but im afraid 2 cuz of the size difference

They come from two different parts of the world. The green anole lives in the subtropics and the leopard lives in dry desert regions. There is no way you can mimic both their environments in the same enclosure. House them separated.

In that chase that person are wrong. There are other tropical geckos though.

There is always a large risk of stress and fighting then housing different species together, I would not recommend it.

ok thank u soo much now i kno wat 2 do with them if u cant tell im a bit new 2 lzards ans u hav helped me out alot. ok so 4 a leopard gecko i was thinkin a 1o0 gln tank with paper towels on the bottom and drift wood and heat lamp of course haha and a hiding spot anything else i should put n?

10gallon is a bit small to get a good heat gradient going, but yeah a 10gal is fine for ONE leo

Water bowl, another dish to keep mealworms in, a hide on the warm side, and also the cool side, an undertank heater, and maybe even a little soda cap lid to keep some calcium in. The more hides the better, and it's also good to have a dome light on top of the tank just in case you don't get the temps correct o.o

ok thanks u but i hav 1 question i volunteer at a petstore and the guy that owns it tells me not 2 use a heater just the heat lamp cuz lizards can get melted 2 the heaters and also it may start a fire is that true?

Leos soak in heat from their BELLIES, not from above, so an under tank heater is best. The only way they can get hurt from one is if you do NOT have any substrate and they are on the heated glass, or your heater malfunctions which has been known to happen but it doesn't happen often at all. BTW, use towels, tile, paper towels, or newspaper(anything not dangerous lol) as your substrate. You can definitely use an overhead bulb for heating but I would definitely not keep out the under tank heater. You just have to play with it(it's good to get all the cage requirements BEFORE you get your animal) and move the tank around to get the right temperatures. It all depends on tank size, size of UTH, wattage of bulb, etc. Sometimes you need both a bulb and an under tank heater, sometimes you only need an under tank heater.

it does than you, \how many crickets do these eat a day? can they eat any veggies?

I rarely feed mine crickets, maybe I will put 20 small crickets every other day to every three days dusted with the proper vit/cal dusting. I find it a lot easier and more efficient to put in a small bowl with about 40 appropriately sized mealworms in it(with dusting lol). They are just fine with mealworms as a staple feeder(unlike beardies). And no, they do not eat any veggies.
