kudos to people that think outside the box and convert old furniture to a nice viv. problem is most furniture is no more than 16-18 inches in depth.

I am almost finished converting a china cabinet into an enclosure. I just need to hang the door, and run the lights ! I wanted something like that stero too, however, they don't seem to be wide enough, so I am going to build myself a stackable xfire enclosure for two babies coming today. I figured that within 8 weeks (dratted full time job) I will have the two enclosures complete and ready for the boys.

well i have to admit it's only 17 1/2 inches wide, how wide should it be?? it's 6 foot long??

24", but that 17 and such should be enough. Many make enclosures 48 x 24 x 18".
Just keep an eye on that, if tails brush up against the sides, you may want to "add" some inches somehow.

Many people use a 40 gal breeder tank for an adult and the dimensions for that are 36x18x16. some use 55 gal tanks and they are only 12" deep. converted furniture would suffice and is cheap to find from a thrift store or craigs list. I see old stereo cabinets on there quite a bit. I am just looking for something that shows off the origional workmanship along with my own blend

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
