Hello,

That is indeed strange! Could he have eaten something that isn't on his daily menu? What type
of supplementation does he get, mostly powders, or some powder & liquid?

It's not too unusual, the rule of thumb is if it deviates from what is the " norm " in appearance too long then it might be worth having a vet take a look but this doesn't look bad. Like Drache said, sometimes it's a variation in the diet, other times it's just unknown.
