Finn, Venus and Jupiter: New beardie baby!

Spyro is my first bearded dragon and I brought him home on the 27th. He came from an individual that was not giving him the proper care: No uvb, feeding mealworms, sand, UTH instead of basking light, etc. They had been misinformed by a pet store employee (big surprise there). I wanted to start this thread so I and everyone else can watch Spyro as he grows.

About me: My name is Lindsey, I am 25 years old. I have a 6 year old daughter with Angelman Syndrome and she a happy little girl that teaches me something new everyday. I have a 4 year old boy named Garrett that shares my love of animals and he loves Spyro as much as I do. I have 3 dogs: Remington(Remi) is a 1 1/2 year old boxer, Tucker is my shihtzu mix, and the mighty Kujo, a toy poodle weighing in a 4.5 lbs. I also have 3 leopard geckos: Venus, Loki, and Thor. I am attending school full time to become a surgical tech. My life is chaotic, but that's the way I like it.

I will update every once in a while with new pictures. When I got him he was in shed.... and still is. I am getting impatient to see this guy brighten up!

He is quite a handsome boy! He exploded today and shed his head and back legs today and it looks like he is gearing up for a whole body shed, since he is growing like crazy.
He is itchy and has been bearding me all day. Lol

I found an egg in Bunny's hide yesterday & I think that's what caused the head quivers. She's taking the calcium and Repashy every night. I'm going to put some small roaches in her tank and see if she'll eat them & continue the night feeding. It's working out great so thanks for the idea, calcium 1st, then Repashy.

Yes, he seems to think that I am the cause of the shedding.

Bunny could definitely be low on calcium because of the egg. Poor girl.

This is the 2nd egg since I got her in December & crestie eggs are huge compared to her. They're the size of Sweetie's infertile beardie eggs! So I've been giving her the calcium and Repashy almost every night, she's so good at the feeding, I'm just amazed, she licks & licks, but won't eat the Repashy on her own, go figure :lol: So I'll continue...

That is exactly how Finn sees it. He is getting ready to shed his body and tail now and is one crabby little guy but he is still eating really well.

I like the second one too. He actually got so close that he licked the camera. He is definitely growing like crazy. Venus was on the move tonight and running around like a spaz.

So today was a very intense day. Fifteen minutes after I left campus today, the entire campus was locked down because of a suspect with a gun. Homeland Security was involved and the college was on lockdown for over 3 hours, the suspect was brought into custody with no shots fired. I was incredibly lucky I decided not to stay late today.
Then I turn down the road to my apartment and there is a truck flipped in the entrance. Everyone was ok but it has been one of those days that you decide to just stay in for the night.

Finn and Venus are doing well, Finn's light is finally on it's way from Pet Mountain, had to wait for some funds to come in. He and Venus loved the waxworm treats. Next week the rest of my school money the end of this week or early next week so I can get some horns and silks on the way. Finn is also getting closer to where I can add in superworms to his diet.
