Dubia sheddings

Most of the sheddings in my tote are consumed by the young ones or other Dubia. Perfectly safe and its food for the young ones, i'd leave them in. ;) Just my two cents.

Yep, the roaches will eat the sheds. This is a very common practice in a lot of animal species and I would imagine it provides them with a little recycled nutrition. The sheds don't last long in any of my roach colonies so I would just say leave them be. ;)

That's really interesting. I had no idea they eat the shed skin. When we do maintenance we remove the shed skin, but otherwise it stays. Now that I think of it I saw a skin on the front egg crate and last night I wondered what had happened to it. Imagined it had just fallen down, but them eating it makes more sense.
