Does your dragon scratch you?

So Spike was crawling all over me earlier and now I have a ton of scratches on my shoulder! Is this normal or are his claws getting too long?

Ty scratches me like crazy, too. And I make sure his claws are trim. hah

Yeah, Jasper does tend to scratch me up a bit when scrambling up my shoulder to situate himself on top of my head. :lol: Best lookout point, you know! :wink:
I try to keep his nails clipped, but they still seem a bit sharp. I think I'll try filing them a little, I've heard that works well.

It's perfectly normal. I get scratched up on the regular but I don't much complain about the beardie scratchings because beardie scratchings are child's play compared to the scratchings my Handsome Jack (the big ornery green monster) gives me--LOL.

Scratches are the brand of a beardie slave! Now with the weather getting warmer the leg and arm scratches will get worse as the clothing becomes shorter. :lol: It's a good thing none of us are swimsuit models!

Hee hee, yeah, mine scratch me all the time, whether I trim their nails or not. I'm half tempted to stop trimming their nails on a regular basis so they have an easier time climbing onto things (their furniture, clothing, me, etc.).

I'm surprised no one has asked if I own a cat due to all the scratches on my arms and hands! :lol:

How the heck do you file their nails?! I tried that and clipping his nails. His little toes are so small and flexible, that it's difficult to file. The nail clippers shortened his claws, but didn't do anything in the way of sharpness.

That's so funny, because I was telling my coworker the other day how it looks like I got mauled by a cat!

Zero is the only one who scratches me up. He hates his bath so hes clawing me the whole time. He puts his head in the water if i dont hold onto him cause hes a buggar butt lol

You should put tee tree oil on the scratches it works really well.

I use a regular nail clipper. All you need to cut is the white tip, which really isn't much (or shouldn't be much) to snip off.
