Reading through your posts and replies it looks like you guys suggest not housing together? Everyone I know who has beardies has at least two together.... at my college we have an enclosure with 4 in it!!! Does anyone do this?

i have 2 girls together, there under 4 months or so. So far we have had no problems, but were always on the look out in case a bite happens. the other 4 are males and are housed separately, because its safer this way.

Unless all 4 you mentioned are female i wouldnt do it. Males can and will over stress females into mating and they will fight with any other males. Its just nature and how they work. I think females tolerate each other, but bites can still happen.

are they breeding? because unless they want to take care of 300+ babies they need to be seperated

Hi they are around 4 years old and been in current viv for 2 years, these are not my dragons you understand but the ones kept in the reptile house of my college.

my male and female are in a 6 foot tank separated with plexi glass so they can see each other but cant get to each other as my male is dom and my female wasnt eating properly now they are in their own space they both eat great healthy and my male still gets the bobble head going sometimes when he is having a shed or grumpy but they need their own space.
My female will be getting her big tank in 2 weeks so both will be in 6 foot tanks with lots of room to roam lol

Mine are in their own vivs. I did so on the advise of people on this forum.
Personally I thought the people of this site were all doom and gloom. Fear mongerers. What if this? What if that? "You know they could be perfectly fine and then pow!" I made each there own vivs just in case.
2 days ago I was at a local reptile store to buy supers. A guy came in and said he had 2 beardies in one viv for a couple of years and they got along fine. Earlier that day he went to check on them and one was missing a leg. True story. Now I am 100% a believer.

The first two we had were best friends. They were housed together and never had any problems with them. I think it depends on the personality of the beardies. The current two, I wouldn't house together as Rosie gets testy, just not that often. I won't take a chance with them. We can have them out together with no problems for the most part.

I only have one beardie, but before I adopted him his first owner bred him and housed him with a female. He is missing about 4" of tail, and the female was missing half of her tail and one of her feet, and she is literally half the size of Dudley. I don't think they had a very good relationship.
When I brought Dudley back to visit his little family before they were adopted, the female acted like she remembered him (They saw eachother through the glass). I don't think that beardies can really form emotional attatchments to eachother, but I have to admit it was pretty cute!

I really can't imagine housing them tegether, seeing how pshychotic and hormonal they get!

I doubt anyone will admit to having them housed together, for fear of being blasted for it.

I'll admit it!! I have 3 girls in a 125 and 2 are sisters that are 3.5 years old and have never been seperated, other than to lay eggs or bath. the other girl is 2.5 years old and was put with my two older girls about a year and a half ago. worst thing that has happened is they try to steal food from eachother. I truely believe it all depends on your specific dragons. just like no two people are the exact same, neither are Beardeds. I also have other adult females and males, and house them seperately, but it is all judged on their behavior. I also have a friend who has been breeding/owning dragons for over 20 years , and she has two female "colony's", one consisting of 5 adult females and the other has 6. they are very large enclosures, but they also are alright, but then again she has a lot that are housed seperately.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
