You are going to want to trim a bearded dragon's nails when needed. I use a device that is used when cutting fishing line. It looks like a normal pair of nail clippers but it works better since it is sharper. I get a clean cut with it. Just don't cut to far back. They have veins just like dogs and cats.

http://www.anapsid.org/ has a good diagram on where and when to cut a lizards nails. I could not find it though. Man that site really needs a search bar

to ceramic tiles. I have tile in all my vivs and it helps keep the dragons nails from being sharp. You can get some very nice looking tile cheap at HD for around .99c a piece. Just get a rough finish tile and not those real shiny smooth ones. You don't even have to grout them, just lay them down. Easy to keep clean too. But also for the nails to stay trimmed down.

lol im going to have to pay a fortune to get my dragons nails cut as they are very long and sharp and they do scratch from time to time and causes me to bleed, and their on ceramic textured tile! figure that one out.

Hmmm, I have 8 dragons now and not one of them have razor sharp nails. Maybe its the type of tile you have that doesn't do much on their nails.

Guys, It is very simple to trim the nails on them. They are just like dogs and cats. Only trim the sharp black part back to where it reaches the rest of the nail. I find that the regular human finger nail clippers work the best for me.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
