Why is my 1.5yr female maisey digging like mad? I have play sand as a substrate. Temparture is okay. She is in her cave digging like a crazy fool :?: , she not keen on her food today. Any ideas?

Mine is doing exactly the same thing - except she prefers to go through the digging (sort of looks like swimming on one side) on the hardwood floor. She just looks at her sand and says "let me out".
She's pooping ok, isn't dehydrated. My guess is she's going through the lizard version of a "false heat" (since she hasn't been anywhere near a male lizard for 2 years). Thinks it's time to lay eggs. Hopefully it will pass soon.

hey i'm no expert but it sounds like she is about to lay some eggs! i have 2females who have both laid several (unfertilised eggs) clutches without so much as sniffing a male! females will lay without a male around the eggs will just be unfertile. you need to provide your female with a suitable egg laying box and a nice quiet, private area where she can lay. i'm sure there is info on egg laying somewhere on this website. but remember not providing a suitable egg laying area can mean she can become egg bound which can be fatal. my two have NEVER dug without then laying eggs!

the link above is very good and tells you all you need to no. I would advise a lid, I use a heavy duty chopping board! it will give her privacy and make her think she is well and truely in a tunnel (like they would be in the wild!) good luck and as long as she is alert and active she is fine and will hopefully lay soon!
if she does lay, afterwards lots of TLC is needed, give her a warm bath and feed her up with calcium supplement. i have read that making the eggs depletes their calcuim reserves so suplementation will help her.

Im needing some questions answered about my female beardeddragon, I honestly have no idea on age , she was a recuse, as ive had a couple in my life an have experience. So 9 weeks in , she earing well pooping well getting comfortable, then approx 3-4 days ago the digging started. So I got a dig box set up in her 75 g tank. Well within 2 hours she dropped an egg. I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
