Cleaning tile and "cave"

I want to clean the tile and cave in my tank in a way all gems/ contagion will die. To bake it in the oven, how long and at what temp should I bake it?

for the tile you can bake at 450 for 30 mins, for the cave it depends on what the material is however if you have any kind of steam cleaner that'll get the job done without having to bake.

I ended up baking it at 400 for about half hour, got impatient sorry. The cave seems like clay also. But something, cave or tile, gave off a strange smell

Tile can be baked. It doesn't need to be so high though. I bake it at about 250 (low on my oven) for about 30-45 min to sanitize it along with wooden parts. Any kind of plastic/clay hides I spray down with F10SC or with a steam cleaner to sanitize.

The little 3.4oz bottle is plenty. I clean a lot and after a year I still have about half left. You just mix it with water in a spray bottle. Having a small plastic 1ml syringe on hand to measure the amount you're mixing is helpful.
