I use straight up white vinegar. You could also use diluted bleach. Please make sure to not use near ur pets. And do make sure to air out the enclosure before returning the pet to the cage.

Depends on what you're cleaning I guess. I use vinegar water to clean off my tank. I use Dawn dishsoap and hot water to wash my reptile carpet and tank accessories. People use bleach solution, nontoxic cleaners, specific reptile tank cleaners, etc. to clean their tanks. It's just important to make sure there are no fumes from the bleach or cleaners if you use those.

I put a vinegar solution into a spray bottle and spray down the tank sides and bottom after taking out the BD and all of its accessories. Wipe up with a paper towel and let dry. It should be a fairly good glass cleaner too I've noticed.

Go to home depot, and buy a product called Simple Green-d Pro 3. Dilute it down to 1 ounce to a gallon of water, and you'll have yourself a wonderful cleaner and disinfectant with very little odor. For a stronger solution dilute it down to 2 ounces to a gallon. Its has an artificial herbal fragrance, and it isn't noxious like bleach and the like. Its a quaternary ammonium disinfectant, which means its very effective at killing a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. Its about $15 (gallon), and with the dilution ratio you could make a fresh 32ounce bottle every 2 days and have enough product for a over a year...so its very cost effective. Both of these products are considered no rinse. The only exception is the Pro 3 should be rinsed off food bowls...but it doesn't need to be rinsed off the floor of viv walls (just wiped down and allowed to dry).
Alternatively you can go to office depot (or is it staples?) and get Simple Green-d Pro 5...which is the same disinfectant as above, minus the detergents and the fragrance.
Another alternative is ordering chlorhexidine gluconate online. Runs anywhere from $10-20 a gallon, dilutes down to 2 ounces to a gallon of water, and is a pretty effective disinfectant. The biggest benefit of chlorhexidine is that its extremely safe. Its commonly used as a wound scrub...so you can use the stuff just about anywhere. There is no need to rinse after its use.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
