Can you post pics of it after it's dry, being wet changes the true condition a bit. It is some type of trauma, is the dragon housed alone ? Does it get taken out to roam around ? Post pics of the enclosure .
well your dragon has definitely lost a part of its tail. Theres a possiblility it is tail rot and the dead part has broken off but it might be dried blood from the wound

Enclosure looks nice, he has a good home. Can you post a close up of the tail when it's dry ? It might have gotten stuck under something like the cave, like a freak accident. Since he has a wound, keep Neosporin on it but don't bathe him a lot. Water can introduce mote bacteria in to the wound, although you can add betadine to the water when you soak him as long as he doesn't drink it. Raw honey is a good option as well, being a natural antibacterial. That's all you can do for now but if it gets worse , find a qualified vet to take care of it. He's beautiful BTW !

Ahhhh, so that's what happened ! There have been a couple of tail biters on this forum over the years and it can be a real problem because they sometimes won't stop. Get a good bandaid to wrap it up after you put Neosporin on it. Hopefully that will deter the biting.
You're welcome. Just keep an eye on it because the biting may continue. The Neosporin will help the wound and you can apply it up over all the shedding area , that will help loosen the shed.
