I was thinking about starting to breed them for my new baby, and adults. Is it ok for the baby to have some too? Or is the exoskeleton too hard?

your babies can have the dubia nymphs too, just dont feed any roach that is bigger than the space in between the eyes, but if you start a dubia colony you wont be disappointed with the roaches.

Dubia are def the way to go!

You can feed your baby dragon the little dubia nymphs and advance to bigger nymphs as he grows. Dubia are excellent feeders which are softer than crix and meatier too. So yes, go ahead and feed your baby dragon soft, sweet, meaty and delicious Dubia!!!

well first you have to order the roaches but many places that sell the roaches only sell you the nymphs, so it takes a while for them to mature to adults depending on the size of the nymph, but what you need is a rubbermaid container to house the roaches and you will also need a heat pad mostly everyone on this forum use the human heating pad with no auto shut off, but i use a small reptile heating pad for my colony and it has been working like a charm, and inside the container you are going to need egg crates stacked up. and then you need the food source i give my roaches grounded up dog food with fish flakes and any other random stuff i have around the house, and for water source i use water crystals but you can also use veggies and fruits for the roaches. thats pretty much the basic stuff you need to start a colony, if i am missing something some one feel free to add to my comment.

Dubia breed slower than crix, you need a lot to get going but they are way worth the wait and initial expense to get set up. Go to http://www.theroachguy.com and check out his website. He has loads of info on everything you need to get going. Lots of us here ordered our breeding dubia from him, he is a great guy with excellent customer service.

After checking out theroachguy, ask questions here as lots of us raise dubia and love them.

Hope that helps,

Eric
