Calcium and vitamins

I recently switched my beardie over to reptiworms from crickets. Do I ever need to use the dusted calcium or vitamin supplements on the worms like I did the crickets?

Vitamins definitely and calcium with D3 if using a UV source other then a MVB per the schedule on:

i thought the whole point of feeding BD's reptiworms was that they were high in calcium compared to crickets? ill start dusting the worms with vitamins 2 days a week though.

It's not necessary to dust with calcium; the suggestion was made primarily for the vitamin D3, as UVB lighting other than mercury vapor bulbs need supplementation of vitamin D3. If you do not dust your ReptiWorms anymore, you lose out on the vitamin D3 supplementation. That's not to say that the ReptiWorms don't have any vitamin D3, but it's difficult to tell whether or not you need it. The same goes for the calcium; the dusting is not necessary, and although there is such a thing as oversupplmentation, it's difficult to tell whether or not calcium dusting with the ReptiWorms still fits within safe ranges of calcium, or if it goes overboard.

If you're worried about vitamin D3 levels and want to avoid calcification, I would suggest looking into a vitamin supplement that's exclusively vitamin D3 or is a mixture of vitamins containing D3.
