Breeder in Arizona ?

Anyone know of a trusted breeder in Arizona ? I'm looking to get my first dragon and I'd prefer to not have it shipped since it gets so hot here and in general id feel more comfortable being able to pick it up in person .

Yeah I'm having trouble finding breeders here besides them.

So if I go to a local pet shop what should I ask about the beardies they have to make sure they've been well taken care of and I don't take a sick beardie home?

I've been to a local shop called Custom Creatures and they have lots of exotics. The first time I went to check it out they had only a couple baby beardies that didn't do much but stare at you, this time they had a couple adults , babies and some juveniles. The babies this time were really active running around their tank and on top of others :lol:

Check out this Facebook group. Lot of good breeders as well as dragons for adoption all in AZ. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1647877658781269/ I also highly recommend John galvan / Extreme dragons AZ. His dragons are absolutely beautiful . I personally got my dragon at arizona reptile center in mesa. Hes a great eater super healthy , growing like crazy and also a beautiful orange ( hes hypo trans. They have awesome deals here and there so if you are going the pet store route thats a great place and not overly expensive like some others. Also the Facebook group I recommended is a great resource for any questions you might come up with along the way . They have helped me a ton on owing my first beardy.

I live in AZ and I know most of the pet stores. Custom Creatures is the worst one I know of. They take HORRIBLE care of all of their animals and most of them have mites. Tropical Treasures treats their customers like crap. Ocean floor only sells fish now (they were probably the best in the state). Arizona Reptile Center is pretty good too. In fact, I was just there yesterday. They actually have all of their breeder dragons on site and will show them to you upon request.

Thanks for the reply . I've since found amateur breeders with good prices and rep so I'm either going to go with one of them or go to the reptile center .

Atomic Lizard Ranch in Arizona are great breeders. Their bearded dragons have beautiful colors and they look healthy as can be. I am buying another beardie from there next week! Good luck with your dragon!
