We got her from a local pet store. She wasn't being taken care if very well so we went ahead and bought her. From what we understand she is a Leather back. The pet store called her a High Collar Leather Back. anyway she is beautiful ain't she

She is so spoiled ... she prefers to eat crickets out of a container, normally that I have to be holding.

After a long day, and while I was doing some dragon shopping, she fell asleep in my hair.

Can someone help me identify her morph, if she has one? We were told she is an Italian leather back ... but I don't think she has the right type of scales for that. Her coloring looks similar to that of the citrus tiger, I think ... but then again, so many morphs are similar that I'm not sure

Ideas, anyone?

Hi there....she doesn't look like a leatherback, or else she's not a smooth one, some are much smoother than others. And I think they meant a " high color" rather than " high collar " . The one thing she IS , is a very beautiful citrus tiger with fantastic sidebars.

Doesn't look like a leather back at all.. but VERY beautiful!! Those side bars are amazing! My favorite part of the citrus morph is the lavender / bluish sides!

We were getting things ready for another baby ...

...and she thought she would take a nap in the new cage. She just plopped right in!

Well, we were so excited, we decided to take some couple pictures.

Here are some pics of new baby, Clyde. I tried to get the lighting right but, due to the red heat lamp in the cage, he has an orange-ish tinge.
Back story: We just got Clyde today. We bought him from PetSmart due to his coloration ... he is white with orange stripes. There was a baby leatherback that we wanted, but it was near death and the store wasn't willing to discount us. ( :twisted: They don't like us there ... we always bring to the attention of the manager the poor condition of their reptiles.) It would have been cheaper to sell him to us for $50 than to take him to the vet, give him extensive care, etc. We are thinking the babies are only a week or so old ... SO TINY!!! so, here are more pictures.

It looks like he's gaping, but he isn't. The temp was around 80 where he was sitting. Bonnie's nickname is Stinker ... I have a feeling Clyde's nickname is going to be CheeseBall. :lol:

We will be adding new pics after Bonnie finishes her shed.

Anyways ... random Bonnie cuteness.

She has started to ask to get out of her cage more often. You can place her on your shoulder and she walks across your chest, lays there, walks up to the other shoulder rests, then repeats. The whole time she is glowing white and happy.

Congratulations on your new baby. Bonnie & Clyde are both gorgeous beardies. Please, please be very careful though, it would only take a split second for Bonnie to grab little Clyde doing major damage or worse. Unfortunately, we have heard & read about it happening way to often here.

That's one reason my hubby had a hold of her in one of the pics. How large would you say the baby should be until we can socialize them? (It was pretty much impossible to find an adolescent for under $100)
