Hello, my bearded dragon Peep has a black spike I'll include a photo. It is not painful and I'm not worried, just curious as to what it might be. It has been there for awhile and it is not residue from insects. [ximg]87949 1095087380[/ximg]

It looks like either a natural discoloration or he may be working on a single scale or patch shed in that area. It's not uncommon for them to shed in small patches or even a single scale at a time like that.

Thank you, I think it might just be natural discoloration it's been there for as long as I can remember.

That makes sense. It's in line with the ones to the sides, just a bit wider. Think of it like a freckle perhaps.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
