Black spot.

So I’ve seen a few post now on black
Spots some being fungal, some being not, some scale rot… some not lol. Noticed this little black spot on our foot today so I gave a bath and soaked to see if it was just some old salad…but it was not. After taking a closer look I notice it does infact have a blackish color to it and only seems to be one scale. It is possible that he’s scrapped it on one of his logs chasing crickets but I’m not sure. Would just like opinions on what this might be and if we should schedule a vet apt or not. We have applied 100%raw pure honey just as a precaution.

It's likely a freckle (for lack of a better description) keep an eye on it though. You can do a betadine soak or use sone raw unpasteurized or Manuka honey on it if it eases your mind. It may disappeare after sheding anyway.

Yeah that should be fine. Remember that medium + large reptiles actively jump, scrape against things, etc. and will often have unknown little scale differences.
