Bigger tank. Stronger bulbs?

I just got my beardie a 60gal tank. He's currently in a 20gal, so I'm assuming I'll need to get him bulbs with a higher wattage?

NICE!

There is a good chance you will need higher watt bulbs, and also possible you will have find a way to compensate for the height difference for the UVB light to make sure your beardie can get close enough to it to get all the benefits.

For those of you using 60gal tanks, what wattage are you using?

I have a 100 g tank, I still use a 100Watt, i just make sure the basking area is still in the 100 degree mark. I also have another light on the other side of the tank but raised up to create about 80 degrees outside the basking area. I also made sure she can get within 6 inches away from the repi bulb to give her good exposer. I guess you just really got to play with it until you can get the right temps in the right place.

i use a 100 watt as well but it depends on your temp in the house.

Not exactly... I have a 4x2x2 viv and evidentally its well insulated..lol I've tried every wattage of bulb and finally ended up with a GE 45w indoor flood bulb... I started with 100w and it was getting up to like 125 then i went down to 75 and it was still getting up to about 120... so I went down to a 50 watt and it was still up to about 118 soo FINALLY i went to walmart and got a GE 45w indoor flood light bulb and it stays around 105-108... I actually have another light bulb on the cool end thats just an everyday bulb its 40w b/c it wasn't staying warm enough.. And I have a 60 CHE for night time that I have mounted in the middle.. Its just kinda touch and go.. U have to find what works best for your viv..
