Best gender?

Hello

I have 2 viv's (4x2x2), one stacked on another.
In the bottom viv lives a one year male.
Would you choose a male or female for the top viv and why.

Adult males can be just as good a companion animal as an adult female beardie can.
Our Puff was a wonderful pet, loved snuggles and loved exploring house.
Rex is also a wonderful pet and loves snuggles and playtime on the floor.
I think it comes down a lot to how you raise them as well as the temperament and personality.

I think it's wise to avoid having 2 males who are housed near each other - they are very territorial and the older male's presence will stress the new male.

Get a female, but keep them in their own enclosures.

You'll get to see their rich set of behaviours and rituals.
