Will coco husk / coco fiber be a good substrate for cricket egg laying? 🙂

I think damp sand is better, you will see the tiny hatchling nymphs more easily. Keep them around 85 degrees for good hatch rate and spritz the sand daily so it doesn't dry out.

I have seen them sticking their ovipositor in the substrate quite a lot which is a good sign. I will give it till monday and see how many there is. I also ordered more crickets that should arrive this week and i will give sand a try. Is any reptile sand okay to use?

O.K good, as long as the substrate us damp you should have some success. I used washed play sand but reptile sand may be fine.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.

Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
