i installed a 100w megaray 2 days ago and ever since beardie has avoided his basking spot. i just put the old basking bulb in and within 20 mins he was back on his basking spot...any ideas???
Would it be that big of a change from a reg. Basking bulb w/ a strip light reptisun 10 to a 100w megaray w/ a bright white light on the cool side? I thought he would enjoy it more if anything...not avoid the megaray
I understand what you're saying. My Kookie didn't seem to like the MegaRay either. I used it for a couple of months but this month it had gotten too warm and I put his ReptiSun back in. He seems happier now. The MegaRay got entirely too hot. I've got a 40 gal. breeder tank.
my tank is 48x18x18 and the temps seemed to be fine with the cool side being 78-80 and the basking spot around 102-105. He also has been very standoffish the last couple days and does not want anyone to reach into the tank. This morning he went right to the basking spot after 10 mins or so and stayed there until I put the pheonix worms in and then he jumped down and ate them all and went back to the rock. Just seems weird...maybe I should put the Megaray back in and give beardie more than 2 days to adjust to it...he just didn't seem himself sitting in the corner not moving with it in...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
