Beardie mimics me eating

Wiz is a silly beardie. If I sit next to him and eat, he'll stare at me and start opening and closing his mouth when I do.

On a side note, Wiz also likes to play with his shadow/reflection.

That's really cute. I recently read an article that showed that lizards can learn by mimicking eachother but I haven't seen them mimic humans like that. If you provide some food when he does it, does he eat? I wonder if he's just watching you and copying or if he is associating it with hunger.
