Bearded dragons with bulging eyes

I've been seeing beardies on instagram, fb, tumblr etc with bulgy eyes.
I wonder why they are like this. Is it a birth defect? Like under-bites?

the first dragon looks like he's eye popping, something they do when they're going to be shedding that area soon. The rest just have that type of head structure it's fairly common for beardies with shorter snouts to have eyes that look like that.

Yup - the first one is just eye-bloating. It's really gross to watch - they "huff" several times and literally inflate their eyes. They hold it, twitch them, then deflate them, with several blinks.

The rest of the dragons are just how they are - adults over four years tend to go "frog eyed" like these. My Tsam has classic "frog eyes".
