At what age is it officially a female?

My BD will be 5 months old next month (I guess) and I still can not see anything under the tail. No bulges or anything its completely flat. Am I not holding it up high enough or do I have a female?

Females will still have one bump, so you're most likely not holding the tail up high enough. If you can take some pictures, we may be able to help you out.

jayden is only around 3 months old and i can tell mine is a female
