Angie, Loki, Laura & Dozer (new pics 03/29/15)

I wanted to introduce everyone to our new girl. She is on her way now from Denver, CO. I will post some new pictures tomorrow but these are the ones we have so far. She is part leatherback.

My pleasure. Paul apologized for all the "ding" marks on his arm and hands, he's been moving rocks around since we're redoing our water garden so that's what they're from.

She's grown so much! Thanks for the pictures, it will be fun to see how much colour she has under that shed, too. She's such a sweetie, look how well she just sits on Paul's arm, as if she's been doing it all her life! You must be so proud of her. She looks so content :love5: :love5:

This is the way Angie slept last night. :love5: I woke her up when I took the pictures. That's a beak of a white fuzzy duck that she had her head laying on.

Tomorrow night I will explain how cute she was with Paul during her bath time, I don't know which one enjoyed it more. :lol:

Great pics, isn't she so cute & I don't know what it is that beardies, especially babies, like to be poked in the throat, you'd think it would make them gag, never mind enjoy a good night's sleep! So cute, though Diane, she is something special!

Angle is incredibly cute sleeping with the duck. I love that beardies appreciate soft, fluffy and fuzzy luxuries.

Wow, they sure looked similar in size in those pictures.

I don't know how they can sleep like that either. In the morning, she had an indentation of the duck's beak, guess it bothered me more than it did her.

Angie is doing well, she is 12 1/4 inches long and weighs 103 grams. She has quite the belly on her. We knew she was getting ready to shed but didn't expect to see this Friday am. She sure didn't look very happy and had the look like "make it go away!" You can see how gray she was almost all over her body.

This morning she exploded, she sat on her basking spot with her left back leg up in the air with skin sticking out in every direction. In 2 hrs, she did a full body shed, only areas to go yet are the very tip of her tail, the top of her head, around her nose and right eye. Once the shedding had started, sure didn't take long to come off. I think her skin was a little tender because she wouldn't sit under her heat bulb for very long at a time, she sat mostly on top of her wooden hide instead. She sure enjoyed her bath and put her head down for the 1st time since she's been here to get a drink. She's so calm but loves Paul swishing her around in the water and then she climbs on his hand & runs up his arm. It's became quite a game and she swims to the opposite side of the container as fast as she can to get his attention so that he will put his arm in. She continues to do it over & over again. So cute to watch. :lol:

Wow, she sure has grown fast! She was such a little bitty thing when you got her & look at her now! Her colours are even brighter and I'll bet they're even brighter in person. She's such a cutie & I'm sure she didn't like that shedding, but glad it went fast for her & that she enjoyed her bath. You're doing such a great job with her!

Thanks Deb, we are thoroughly enjoying her. She is so sweet and loves her beard being kissed, she even likes Paul blowing raspberries on her beard. :lol: I think 103 grams is pretty good, she certainly is filling out all over. Has quite the appetite and poops 3 to 4 times a day so I guess she's getting enough nutrition.
