Coincidentally, someone was just asking on the Australian beardie board whether one of their new little ones was an Eastern and it was pointed out that Centrals are pink inside the mouth and Easterns yellow. Eastern beardies are on the same licence here in Victoria as Centrals but aren't seen as much as pets; they don't have quite as nice a temperament. They're good at black beard display, though, aren't they?
I've seen one Central that colour in a shop--it wasn't for sale but was being looked after by a staffer who'd gotten it from a very neglectful owner. Sadly, it had such severe MBD that it had to be put down. I don't think anyone in Oz breeds hypermelanistic bearded dragons either; jet black blue tongues yes, but not beardies.
