Hi everyone !
My first time on here. I am a bearded momma. My oldest is almost 3 years and my baby dragon, Drago, I've only had him for 2 months.
My 8 year old son was playing with purple glow sticks outside after dark. H3 was about 2 feet from me. Drago was asleep on my hoody.
When my son started waving the sticks around it the dark, Drago woke out of a dead sleep and starting lunging toward them with his tongue stuck out further than I've ever seen ! It was hysterical ! Of course I had to cut it short because he was literally about to just jump of into an abyss of darkness to get to the glow stick.
When I first got him I would use a purple light for heat for the last two hours of his day. Seemed more appropriate than a bright basking bulb. So he's no stranger to purple light. Anybody know why he would react like that ? It t9ok a good half hour to get him calmed down.

i don't know about the glow stick although the mental image of the situation i have in my head is priceless!

i do know that there should be no colored lights used with beardies. it isn't good for them. just the basking light and the uvb. they like it cool and dark at night.

I'm no expert but I don't think it would hurt to use a black light a couple of hours at the end of the day.
It depends on how far the light is away; it won't hurt him

Just make sure he gets the proper amount of heat and lighting (UVB/UVA)
It's always better to use the recommended husbandry.
But I don't see how a couple of hours is an issue.

I have questions about bubbles on our bearded dragons eye.

So he’s gotten bubbles on his eye. We wiped them off and it’s only been twice in the last few weeks. Should we be concerned? No coughing or congestion. He’s very hungry and sleeps well. He’s 8-9 month range. His humidity is 30-40 day time and as high as 50-55 at night to early morning.
Should we be concerned?
