16 hour car trip with a beardie?

This is where I am confused. I am not trying to be mean but I thought they had to have high temps in order to digets thier food. If you rae feeding them at stops how are they getting the heat to digest thier food. I am just curious for my trip, if they have to go without food. And if I need to leave them at home.

The heat from sitting on the dashboard seemed to be just fine for mine - if it's too chilly for yours, this is where the heat packs/handwarmers come in handy.

OK so they don't have to have a basking light to digest food as long as they have some type of heat?
Of course, this would only be for a couple of days.

Exactly. Just keep them warm.

Keep in mind that even tho their environment while traveling won't be optimal, it won't hurt them for a few days.

I stressed out HARD before the move with my beardies - I was convinced the move would end up killing them. :shock: It turned out to be SO easy and fun, tho!

Heating Issue:
you know those pads that hunters put in their gloves and boots in the winter? Well wrap it in fleece so it is not too hot and put it by the beardie. Mine loves it and it is easier than having the basking lamp.

I actually made a blanket that has pockets to place the heat packs in. I made it for emergencies or in case the electric goes out.
I have plenty of heat packs and now is the time to buy more from Walmart as they are on clearence.
