Is This Enough Ventilation for Dubia Colony?

Mine looks bigger than that, and I still have a problem with my egg flats becoming moist.

    NEED HELP BREEDING SILKIES PLEASSSSEEEE

I remember that they stop eating and start standing still in a weird position for a little bit, and excrete a weird green frass. Then they start trying to find a thing to spin on, which is when you move them to paper towel tubes or egg flats.

    Crickets keep dying..

I kept my 1000 in a 30 gallon tote bucket. Didn't seem to change the die off speed :? Dubia aren't that hard to raise, nor are they time consuming. You will save time by not having to go to the pet store and buying crickets!

which worms are good to feed?

I'm pretty sure butter worms are preferred over wax worms, as wax worms are too high in fat. Silks and Horns are good worms to try!

    Crickets keep dying..

I had this problem when I still used crickets (switch to Dubia, you won't regret it). I bought in batches of 1000, and some weeks all 1000 would live (to be fed to my dragons :P ) while other times 900 of them would die within a week, for no apparent reason. It might sound like I'm...

    CHEAP CRICKETS

ghann's crickets. Not meaning to be harsh or mean, but that's not really a bulk buy (at least in my opinion  ). I used to have to buy 1000 every 1-2 weeks..

Need quick advice about keeping my dubias warm

Also, it would be smart to not put a non-human heating pad on the carpet. It seems like common sense, but there's a big melted hole in my carpet that would say otherwise :banghead:

    Switching Over

Try putting the superworms in their salad, or try hand-feeding them a few.

    Silkworm Eggs

I second that care sheet. Putting them into the fridge depends on whether or not you order them with the cold pack or not. I've only ordered the tanish colored eggs which are ready to hatch, so I wouldn't know about the refrigerated ones. I sure you can stagger your hatchings, but I don't...

Found Ton's of Different Roach Specie's as Feeder's and Pets

This is actually really interesting. Some of these roaches look way more roachier  Which is a bit scary.. The Panchlora nivea or Green Banana roach looks really interesting. It seems that more chameleon hobbyists breed these though. But the fact that they're bright green is awesome!

    Questions from a Dubia Owner

Thanks, I know about the whole magic death thing. I see so many dead adults everyday  I really need more egg crates, but they are on back order off the website I ordered them on. Perfect timing.

How many Bearded Dragons do you care for / have?

 That must take a toll on your heating bill! Myself, I have two adults. At one point in time I had three adults, and really not that much different then caring for one (except the time is doubled!).

    Questions from a Dubia Owner

Well a few years back, I made the great choice of purchasing a few hundred Dubia to start a colony. I will never regret that decision! I'm hardly active on these forums, and honestly spend less and less time with my beardies, being in highschool is quite time consuming. I think I will be...

    I. Hate. Ants. Help?

That and you can maybe try vaseline around the edges too, that worked for my dubia a while back.

Adult beardie not eating, basking, or bowel movement.

It's been around a week since Joyce's last bowel movement. She used to take a bite or two of the butternut squash I offered her, and now even this has come to a halt. She hasn't eating a dubia in roughly a week, and it's now day 3 of zero food. I offer her water, and bathed her in warm water to...

Adult dragons not really eating greens

I feed my adult dragons (3+ year old) collard greens with grapes and raw carrots, and dubia. recently, they have been ignoring the greens and only eating 3 nymph dubia a day. Any suggestions? I thought of not feeding any dubia and only offering greens to try and get them to eat more, and then...

    Hyalophora Cecropia

That is one cool looking caterpillar. I have no idea if you can feed those to beardies...I know you can feed normal silkworms but that is quite different.
