Hi im Lexie and im new to Bearded Dragons...

Welcome, Lexie :D Spike is certainly a cutie :love5: Some beardies get a bit bigger than 20" but not by much so no worries. 40 gallon breeder tanks are typically recommended as the minimum size for a single beardie but I don't see anything wrong with using a 55 gallon other than it may...

    Help on friend's iguana?

Take a peek at the Green Iguana Society, they are a wealth of information and if you click on through to the message board when you're finished, they're a friendly bunch and will typically help you out with any questions you may have. http://www.greenigsociety.org/home.html

    Calypso grew again

Yeah, but I think it's because he finally has the space to grow--he was previously shoved into one of those tiny little tanks at Pet Supermarket.

    Calypso grew again

She's a big girl :D and a pretty one :love5: They do grow up fast! We brought Drago home in December and he was just over 14 inches, I just measured him this weekend and he's now at 19.

He won't open his eyes... :(

I switched them to the ReptiSun 10 (tube, not coil) but I left it off for a couple weeks and just turned on their heat source. I also put the drops in their eyes twice daily. It took quite a bit of time for their eyes to heal and honestly, they still don't see as well as they should. I'd say it...

    Is it possible

There are times, after I've handled my dragons, the skin that's made contact with them gets irritated and itchy so yes, I'd say it's cretainly possible to allergic to them.

He won't open his eyes... :(

Going back to the eyes, both of my frilled dragons are rescues and they came to me with photo-kerato-conjunctivitis which is due to bad UVB and it looks remarkablely similar to what is going on with your beardies eyes. I've never used regular saline solution so I can't say how well that works...

I'm sorry, I wish I could help you but I have no experience with breeding. Perhaps you could PM one of the moderators or breeders on the site to help answer your questions. Best of luck.

    Will only eat if handfed

Our oldest beardie, Remy, does this as well. But, unlike Erica's beardie, Remy won't eat at all unless you feed him. Though, in Remy's case, it's not an issue of being spoiled. Remy was a rescue and his vision has been bad since we got him and while it's much better than it was when we first got...

    Some of my scaly kids!

Thanks, all, for the compliments on my lovely children :D I think they're gorgeous but I am, of course, biased  And no, Dawn, sadly, I do not charge admission (yet! LOL)but I have mentioned (several times) to my family that we're only a few animals short of our own personal zoo.

    Having 2 Bearded Dragons

I have 4 beardies, 1 iguana, 1 water dragon, 2 frilled dragons and 1 uromastyx--between feeding, bathing, cleaning enclosures and giving love, it's a LOT of work but that's 9 not 2. When I only had 2, it was time consuming but not near as much. I think going to school and working part time with...

Poor Bella. She's a big girl now!

My new girl, Phoenix (we've only had her about a month), started acting like your Bella a couple weeks ago and early last week (around Tuesday), we found she'd laid 2 eggs in her viv so we made her a lay box and she dug and dug and dug her heart out everyday last week but laid no more eggs. That...

    Does your dragon scratch you?

It's perfectly normal. I get scratched up on the regular but I don't much complain about the beardie scratchings because beardie scratchings are child's play compared to the scratchings my Handsome Jack (the big ornery green monster) gives me--LOL.

    Buddy; New MVB!

I'm terribly sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet Mayze, she was a beautiful girl. And please don't be down on yourself, sometimes things happen that we just can't explain or understand but you have to know that you did your best for her. You went above and beyond what most people would...

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Tracie (Drache613)

Yep, me too!!! She helped me with my Harley when I thought he had yellow fungus. I'm going to have to be contacting her again here soon (once I get a good picture) because my Harley is having issues with one of his poor little feet :( So, Thanks, Tracie :D You ROCK!
