Poor Bella. She's a big girl now!

Well, she stopped at 4, and is completely normal! She is eating and basking and is generally fine. The vet offered to do an ultrasound next week if I am still worried, but I think I'll skip it unless something changes.

But OMG! Your fem laid every month last summer??? Ugh! :lol:

My new girl, Phoenix (we've only had her about a month), started acting like your Bella a couple weeks ago and early last week (around Tuesday), we found she'd laid 2 eggs in her viv so we made her a lay box and she dug and dug and dug her heart out everyday last week but laid no more eggs. That is, until this Saturday when she laid an additional 23 eggs. Poor baby looked so tired when she was done and skinny, entirely too skinny, I'm working on fattening her back up right now.

yes....every month all summer & some of her cutches she insited on laying in the back yard at the playground in the barkmulch/soil even though she had a laybox.
every day she was acting like a mad women hanging off the slidder screen to get out side & go to the playground....i would put her harness on & she would run straight down there & dig n dig some days laying her eggs others just dig n bask.
It was warm one day last week & i could still see her eyeing the playgroun like when is that snow going to get out of there so i can go dig???
She would eat alot in between clutches then about 4 days before laying she would stop eating & then lay.
she would be so dirty & tired i would bring her in give her a good long soak one time she had acouple eggs left
to lay apparently...it was dark n i brought her in she laid them in the bath!

Bella is digging again. :roll: It started last night and has gone on all day except when she stopped to eat. :lol:

She never laid more than 4 eggs two weeks ago, and now the silly thing is in the lay box digging in the front part where the sand is real thin. I sure hope she isn't another Malibu, only worse! Every two weeks???? :bleick:

I hope she lays a basket full. I have a feeling these eggs are left over from two weeks ago. :?

She's in a deep hole straining now, poor thing. I have some big fat silks and butters waiting for her. :wink:

Yup..sound like shes ready..give her a nice long soak after she'll probly drink alot of it,Malibu sucked up water &
ate tonss than got into her beardie burrito & slept like a baby.
She is so funny she got really hyper at times & would hang from the slider screen to get out.

Well, bless her heart! She keeps trying, but honestly, I can feel NOTHING in her abdomen! I soaked her and I think it was a bit of a relief, but nothing yet. I might have to get her to the vet after all.

I must just say that whilst Dex was laying (and see popped out 23 eggs) I never once felt the eggs in her belly.
I do believe sometimes its just not that easy to feel them.
Perhaps it might be time for an Xray though so see whats going on.

BTW, Izzy insists HE IS NOT THE FATHER!!!! He got in enough trouble with Queen Cassandra, last time.

i could never feel malibus eggs either,in fact she had a vet check two weeks before she laid & they said she was
verry healthy.They did not detect eggs either.The pet store guy said she was fat & needed a diet.

She's still at it, bless her heart! If those eggs don't come this afternoon, we WILL be at the vet's office tomorrow. :roll:

Frances, I think poor Bella is cursing ALL boys at the moment! She is even giving ME dirty looks, like I caused it! :lol:
