    mystery bugs! HELP ASAP

Fluker Farms has great customer service from my experience. I feel sure if you contact them they will make things right. I know that does not answer the original question but I thought I would stick my nose in. By the way I am thinking if i have read right in the past you do not want to let your...

how many inches a average adult bearded dragon?

Hmmmmm. Draco is around 7 months old and right at 18 inches long. I know he is a big boy and I do not think he is done growing. He does have full body sheds at least once a month.

    Grazing?

OK maybe this is a silly question. I have not been able to find it mentioned in earlier posts. I took Draco out in the yard today to get some real sunshine. He decided to snack on the lawn. I do not use any chemicals on my lawn at all so I am not worried about that, but I just do not know if...

    Just Curious

Why do so many folks decide on the Plexiglas doors for their viv? When building Draco's new home i found Glass to be much cheaper and it is far more resistant to scratches.

Would this make a good Viv?? :D

I just finished making one from an entertainment center. Be sure you seal everything well. I used three coats of a water based primer to seal the wood. I keep seeing people say they are using plexy for the doors. I do not understand that. Glass is cheaper and less likely to scratch. just my...

    The Task ahead

At long last the task is complete. I am sorry we did not post more as we went but we were kind of self conscious about what we were doing. We are however kind of proud of the final results. So with out further adieu... the first Castle we built was just to much and not sturdy enough. The...

    need light fixture help!

I had the same problem finding a fixture. I bought a two bulb 24 inch fixture and in the second slot put a normal T8 bulb. This adds more light to the viv and gives me the extra penetration of the 24 inch repti-sun 10.0 bulb compared to the 18 inch. At the basking end i am using a 50 watt...

    The Task ahead

Some one in another thread was nice enough to post a very good lighting study. I will be putting a reflector on the uvb bulb and building a basking spot up high enough to get proper temps and UV. Thanks for the thoughts. Give this a look. http://www.uvguide.co.uk/fluorescenttubereflectortests.htm

    The Task ahead

Well I have had three days off work because of the weather here in beautiful Illinois, so I worked faster in the viv. Three coats of water based primer, a little wiring and some holes cut and we are ready for light bulbs and the fun stuff that we will be filling it with so Draco will feel at...
