need light fixture help!

Alrighty, just picked up a new repti sun 10 uv bulb but...i don't have a fixture. I been browsing everywhere trying to find a sleek fixture. The bulb i have is 24" and i want a single light fixture. Can anyone help me out. I want something sleek kinda like the zilla slime. Help plz. Beardie is running with no UV atm but ima try to take him out if it gets hot enough.

wal mart has fixtures in their lighting dept... they are a lot cheaper than the ones at pet stores, and you just have to remove the cover on them and put your reptisun in so that the UV rays do what they do best.

Ive checked out wallmart. All there lights fixtures are like under cabinet. The bulbs are facing down. kinda like a "D" but tunred 90degrees clockwise. I need something that can lay on top of the cage. How far is UV bulb suppose to be anyways?

They need to be able to get 6 - 8" away from the light... Petco has the fixtures that go with the bulbs. I ordered the fixture when I ordered my reptisun. Home Depot has the fixtures also.

At petco they only had 20 and 18" light fixtures. i Have a 24". I checked out home depot also none that fit 24" =[

I had the same problem finding a fixture. I bought a two bulb 24 inch fixture and in the second slot put a normal T8 bulb. This adds more light to the viv and gives me the extra penetration of the 24 inch repti-sun 10.0 bulb compared to the 18 inch. At the basking end i am using a 50 watt halogen spot light, with a rheostat. I let my house get pretty cool at night so I also have a no light heat emitter for after lights out. This is a brand new arrangement for Draco but he seems more active after just a short time in the new viv.

My house gets about 68 at night so I make dragon burritos and one sleeps with me and the other with my daughter. They love being snuggled in their blankets and sleep all night on pillows next to us.

i would suggest just getting the under the counter fixture from walmart, and mounting it inside the cage.

HAHA laura, do u just wrap them in tissue paper? Arent u scared to like accident roll over?

They get wrapped in hand towels.. And they lay on the pillow next to us, they don't move all night, So I don't worry about rolling over on them.. LOL.. They love to be snuggled up :mrgreen: My little dragon burritos.
