Can a Reptarium be used for outdoor use?

I have one for my guys, except it was the loose mesh reptarium before they upgraded it to included a door and solid frame. Bought it specifically for that reason (the 48" long one) so it can offer them a safe and comfortable area for enjoying the outdoors without them freaking out and choking...

Unbelievable!Thats why u SHOULDNT listen to petstore people

This is true that you can argue this topic endlessly, but I was not arguing... or being abrupt. I was simply stating that with the chance, one small chance that may end with such significant consequences, then why take the chance? You state that you should replace substrate every couple of...

Unbelievable!Thats why u SHOULDNT listen to petstore people

Very well said LLLReptile, I couldn't agree with you more (and I've ordered a many thing or two from you guys over the years). Thank you for the great selection in supplies! I certainly agree with most aspects of your recommendations and love referencing some of your other videos. I still...

Unbelievable!Thats why u SHOULDNT listen to petstore people

I can agree and disagree with the waterfall concept. I agree with the situation as long as it is used in a larger terrarium and when it is used properly, as she suggested in the video. I've noticed that having too low humidity in a cage especially with baby bearded dragons (whether in groups or...

    Anyone here near South Jersey?

My zip is 08330. I'm a little more south jersey, haha. I used to live in Burlington actually, and used to work in Delran. You are certainly close to where I used to live.

Anyone on East coast going to NJ Reptile show in April?

I think that I want to go to the first one. Seems more variable. But again, NJ has so many damn rules. I don't know if it is worth driving to. -Glue

Anyone on East coast going to NJ Reptile show in April?

Huh. Finally, they are hosting a regular show in NJ. Only thing is, that it is the same damn distance as the Hamburg show -_- (still 2 hours from me!) Its more NY than NJ. I wonder though, with all of NJ's regulations if its going to be like the Hamburg show? Looks like they are having...

Hello from Australia! Regarding sand substrate.

I placed my male on sand when he was 2 years old and always fed him outside of his enclosure. After apprx. 2-3 months, he stopped passing stool and stopped eating for several months. Long story short, he made his appearance at several veterinary offices for several years. 3 years later, he has...

    Substrate Question

That's alright. Every dragon is different. I've noticed that my female, Calypso, tends to like her basking temp a little cooler than my male, Aussie. She likes it in the mid 90's (otherwise, she avoids it some of the time) while he can chill under there when it fluxuates between 98-110F.

    Causes of dehydration/beardie death :-(

I'm so sorry to hear about your dragon! I couldn't imagine that dehydration was the real cause of your dragon's death, being that it was so sudden (of course, it could have been mishandling and mis-administration of fluids/medicines, or stress caused by these). The only for sure way to find out...

    Substrate Question

I use slate tiles in my tanks (it helps with their nails and prevents them from slipping, which you would commonly see if you were to use ceramic tiles). The only down fall with using slate tile is cleaning (because they are textured and heavy), but being that they are tile, I can just remove...

One year old beardie stopped eating greens

Welcome to the picky world of dragon diets. My male is like that, and he has always been that way - he is now 5 years old. What I do to get him to eat his greens is starve him for up to 4 days (when he is really stubborn), and then he usually goes for them, as long as there is not "candy" as...

Haha, dart frogs. Maybe one day... I just wouldn't like to order their food all of the time. Cute, but expensive! And thank you. Took a lot of time (and money). Still having trouble keeping the humidity in the tank (needs to be 60-80%). Keeps falling back down to 35% after a couple of hours...

My baby bearded dragon has pink eye?

The compact coiled bulbs cause issues because of their erratic emission rates of UV that cause a lot of photo sensitivities in reptiles, or photo conjunctivitis (causing crusty, closed eyes and lethargic behavior. Ultimately, if the problem is not fixed, the animal can die). The fluorescent...
