I made my bearded dragon a homemade hammock out of regular fabric from the nearby fabric store. Is it safe to put under the basking light or does it cause a fire risk?

It should be fine If you keep it at a distance that stays at or below basking temps of about 100-110. If it gets close enough/hot enough to be a fire hazard, the surface would pose a burn risk.
