Hey guys, I was just wondering, what times do your beardies go to sleep?

For some reason mine curls up in the corner at 2PM + , and goes to sleep! I wish I had more time in the day to play with her, anyone know why she goes to sleep so early?

Share some funny bed time stories!

New set-up pics for Christina!

She's now anywhere within 6-10 inches when on her log of the light... that's assuming the rays can go diagonal and not only vertically down?

After about 3 hours of being in her new set up, she still has not climbed her root. I found her in the corner, totally awake again! She doesn't want to eat any crickets or bask.

I can take her out, and plonk her beneath my reading light and she's totally fine! She basks for hours, but she doesn't wana do anything other than sleep in her viv and refuse to eat.. She only used to eat in her viv and now she doesn't even want to eat in there.

Struggling! :banghead:

Nathan, at this point, I would take the root out to see if she will bask on the rocks. Its clutching at straws but worth a shot! babies are notorious for hiding for no valid reason!

Okay I'll give that a go, also makes it easier for her to see crickets. I'll drop a few in and see if she's at all interested. She's refused all food today..

I tried putting one in front of her, and she freaked out and shook her head haha.

Good news!
I put her downstairs, she had a 20 minute run around. Put her back on her log, and she's been sitting there for a good 10 minutes so far! Last time she jumped right off and hid in the corner!
"YAY! I'm closer to the UVB!"

Look at her soaking up those rays! Now my only problem is her not eating :(
She's lost a gram since friday, due to refusing to eat crickets

Maybe you'll have better luck with phoenix worms, but maybe she wants to eat outside her viv. Have you tried to put her in a plastic bin of some sort to see if she'll eat crickets outside her tank? Good for a try. What are you gutloading the crickets with? I put small pieces of apple & Cricket food for them to eat. Every beardie is different, my first beardie Sweetie ate crickets for a few months, then stopped, so I had to get pheonix worms, the got her silkworms (expensive, though). So maybe the worms you're getting will whet her appetite. How long have you had her? Sometimes it's just relocation stress. At least you got her under her basking light. The way you have the tube, it should reach her most any place in her tank, but 6-8" is ideal.
Good luck, keep us all posted & thanks for the pics.

I've tried her in a plastic tub, but she jumps out! I tried putting the lid over it (not shutting it), and there was her and 3 crickets, and she had all her stress marks pop out. She refuses to eat outside her viv haha!
I gut load them with cricket feed and whatever leftover collard greens Baby doesn't eat.
Hopefully the phoenix worms will appeal to her, still got 2 days 'til I get them though!
Oh really? That's good then, I was worried the rays from the light would only go down for a while! :p
I've had her for about 2 months, nearing 3. Since early December.
The first month went well, she was eating 3 times a day, however many I gave her. However back then I had the wrong UVB light, and her temperatures were in the 80-90's. So it was a lot colder!

She basked for about half an hour, and then sat in the corner... she's currently sitting in her water bowl, maybe she's trying to cool down over here and go back to basking in a bit..a man can dream eh?

I'll try her with some crickets in a while again, she ignored them about 10 minutes ago though.

Havn't tried taking out her root yet because she went to basking

Sorry to be putting post after post, and picture after picture in here guys, just trying to give you as much info as possible to try and help me out

I tried her again on the crickets, after basking outside her viv for about 2 hours. I put her in, and let her relax for 10 minutes. She jumped down, and I put a cricket in near her, it walked right under her nose and she just doesn't care!!

She didn't even touch her salad today, so that's absolutely nothing in her little belly

She's now found her blanket, and dug her way under it.. I guess 16:51 is better than 14:00... she seems to stay awake if she's outside her viv, if she goes in ... she sits in the shade, doesn't eat and sleeps.. hmm

K well this actually happened with me after about 2 days of having him he didn't eat for two days and it was because of the temps after I got him a new halogen 100w he started eating again so I would try seeing if your temps are all correct on the basking side and by the way what does everyone keep there crickets in???

Thanks for the suggestion but the temps are definatley correct. I've been over them several times with many different people telling me they're all fine  75-80F cool side, 95F warm side, 98-107F basking spot.
After dropping her temps down from 120F basking spot, the initial 2 days she ate really well, around 40 a day (this was about 5 days ago), and then yesterday she ate 5 crickets, and today none! Nothing at all.

OK so, baby has had a LOT of changes recently! So now, she could have relocation stress. She might not eat for a few days but at least you have her staying up past 2pm!!! Give her 2-3 days to settle and hopefully all will fall into place ;)

She's gone to sleep about 2 hours ago with no food in her belly guys :(
Spot her?
DSC_0895.jpg

So this is the latest, now we have her UVB light at 6 inches from her basking spot. Her basking spot hits around 102-110F, warm side 95F, and cool side 80F.
She refused to eat all day. I had to move her off her rock to go and bask while I changed her set-up. Once she got in, she hid in the corner, I tried plonking her on her basking spot and she hid again. I tried again, and she absked for about half an hour.
I put her under my reading light some more and she basked for about 3 hours. I then tried feeding again and she ran away.
She put herself to bed at about 5PM.
She's lost 1 gram, now 41grams, and is still only 9 and 1/2 inches.
Her tail looks no closer to shedding.
She didn't poop today, I suppose because her lack of appetite the past 2 days.

Yeah, relocation stress is one of my guesses.. and I kinda hope it is. I want her to start eating and growing already!
What do you guys recommend? Thank you, I'm sorry for being such a frequent poster, I'm addicted to this site!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
