    Making the forum mobile ready.

I build web apps for a living, so I can genuinely appreciate the concern for security. I think the biggest thing here is doing something to make the site more mobile friendly; Tapatalk was just one solution. Right now it's pretty painful to browse, and more specifically, post, from a mobile...

    Is speed in Brumation?

Like Beardednoob, I'm no expert either. However, BD.org has an excellent article on brumation that I just read, and it does sound like what Speed may be going through.

    Making the forum mobile ready.

Thanks for the link, Brandon. I did some searching and the only security issue I found was back over the summer and was fixed in short order. Aside from that, it doesn't sound like there's been anything else that's come up, which is pretty impressive to be honest! Hope that helped!

    Making the forum mobile ready.

Would it be possible to post a link to that discussion? I'd like to find out what the issue is and see if there are workarounds (I've never worked with it before so I can't say).

    Making the forum mobile ready.

I was actually coming here to post about Tapatalk if it hadn't been already, so I was happy to see it brought up. I've been doing a little bit of reading about it and it seems like a win-win product to try, especially since it's no-cost for the forum owners. I'd love to see this implemented if...

    Dubia research

That'd be awesome. An RSS feed would rock, but I won't get picky, too. :P

    Dubia research

Agreed! I'd be very interested in seeing the data from these tests over time.

One large meal or little meals?

My dragon goes in spurts. Sometimes he'll eat twice in a day, while other times he won't want to eat for a day or two, then he decides he's super hungry and goes to town.

He's potty trained! (not how you would think!)

So it's not just my bearded dragon that can send you running from the room? That's a relief! I run into the same problem with Dax. Sometimes it's pretty gross. :puke: To the OP, my beardie has pooped just about everywhere in his tank. Not lucky enough for him to pick one convenient spot...

    New enclosure, strange behavior

Thanks for the response, Erin. I figured it was probably related to that, but I wanted to ask to be on the safe side. :)

    New enclosure, strange behavior

We moved a little while back and had Dax (3.5 years old) in a temporary 20" L for the move. 2-3 weeks ago we put him in his new enclosure - a custom-built 4' x 2' x 2'. Since then he's been acting a bit strange. Sometimes he just drags his body across the bottom of the enclosure, or lays there...

    Sliding vs Cabinet style doors

I'm drawing out plans for my first custom-built enclosure and wanted to tap the knowledge of everyone here. Do you prefer sliding or cabinet style doors? I'd think cabinet style would allow more accessibility when cleaning the tank, but in practice that might not matter. If you prefer cabinet...

mealworm and superworm ( BEETLE QUESTION )

Here are two good ones I just found: http://www.justskunks.com/page/909663 - detailed info http://www.geckotime.com/how-to-breed-superworms/ - good pictures I'm just got my superworms yesterday and will be trying trying my hand at breeding them as well!

Ripped off at Petco ! When will I learn !?!?

Last time I went to PetSmart I asked the guy for a container of superworms. After he brought it out I inquired about silkworms and butter worms. He said they didn't sell them (wasn't expecting them to), but he went into the back with my container of worms and put three times as many in there...

    Feeder counts when ordering online

I came here to ask this when I saw the thread about PetCo shorting people on worms, but I'd like to know when ordering feeders online, how accurate should I expect the counts to be? I ordered 500 superworms from FeederFactory.ca and since this was my first time ordering "in bulk", I decided to...

I think my beardie has lost it!

Dax behaved the same way, too. He's in a temporary tank while I work on his new enclosure and he started doing it again on the one end that doesn't have a background.

    Aggressive eater, drew blood

I'm sure many can be finicky while they're getting used to you, but "long-term" aggression is more isolated I'd say. That's not to say they can't get cranky one in a while, but our neighbor has one about the same age as Dax (between 3-4 years old) and he's more docile than a sack of potatoes...

    Feeder Factory?

Has anyone ordered from Feeder Factory (feederfactory.ca)? I was expecting my order (super worms, Repti-Sun 10.0 bulb, and calcium dust) Wednesday. It didn't arrive, so I called them to see what was up. Turns out the Repti-Sun bulb was out of stock from their main supplier - understandable, but...

    Aggressive eater, drew blood

Yeah, I've had him since he was a baby. He actually is on the recommended number of live feeders per week, with veggies being his main food. I'm just saying he can easily put away a surprising amount.

    Aggressive eater, drew blood

Thanks dragons1222. A few times, when I've been uncertain of his behavior, I've dropped a piece of food on one side of the tank, then lowered the dish on the other while he was distracted. It's definitely less than ideal - I'd like for him to calm down while eating - but it's a safe way to avoid...
