Can I use Zoo Med Vita Sand for a sub adult beardie?
I will never recommend any type of substrate that can be ingested and, possibly cause impaction! It is also a breeding ground for bacteria and, fungus!

That is quite possibly the worst substate you can possibly have lol. Vita sand is the same as calci-sand, which is horrible. It has things in it that make beardies want to eat it, but one it's ingested it's deadly. It hardens in their stumach like cement, which, as you can imagine, isn't exactly a good thing.

We always recommend non-partical substrates such as paper towels, slate tile, non-adesive shelf liner, or newspaper.

But if you have your heart set on sand, at least use just regular playsand (but I still wouldn't recommend ANY sand)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
