I have been giving liquid calcium from beardeddragon.co since feb 2013. She has mbd, how long am I supposed to give her the calcium, I keep reading that it is toxic, but she has been going strong since I took her to the vet in jan 2013. Just wondering if I keep it up or stop. Plus I got Rep-Cal Herptivite Multivitamins, how many times am I supposed to give it to her?

Hi. Is this an adult? If so vitamins 2x a week and calcium 3x to 4x a week. Idk if its the same for dragons with mbd. How bad was the mbd?

Yes she is about 3 years old and only sign she has left is her mouth. Other then that she went back to the vet 4 months later and did another xray and you could see her bones clear as day, which when she first went you could barely see them. I buy the liquid from Cheryl on beardeddragon.co so I am not sure if I am supposed to keep giving it to her for the rest of her life, she already way out lived what the vet said she would.

Hello,

As far as the liquid calcium goes, as long as it is dosed properly it wont be toxic.
As an adult, if the dragon no longer has visible signs or physical signs of metabolic bone disease, you can back down to 3 times per week for maintenance for as long as you would. If your dragon likes it then you can continue giving it.
The herptivite vitamins can be given once weekly for an adult, too.
I am glad your dragon has improved so much. It is much more efficiently absorbed, too.

Yes she is doing great, only her mouth is the sign left but the vet said it would never change, and it dont stop her at all. She loves her calcium it has strawberry flavor in it! So I dont need to use powder calcium even tho I have it!?

Hello,

You wont need to use any calcium powder if you are using the liquid calcium, as she gets plenty with the liquid. :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
