I just receive an email from Ripleys Z&W are going to appear in the daily which is a Ripleys comic strip, on June 18th. I know that's a long time away!

I'm working on an article to mail to Ripleys about Z&W right now. We were to late for this years big book but there will be a special edition that goes out in August called...
"Prepare to be Shocked." I think that's the name of it. :study: I still am not sure about if and what they pay, doesn't really matter to me. My husband thinks that I should get paid but of course he would he's the one that puts out all the money for all of our beardies. I just think that Z&W deserve to be in a book pay or no pay because they are so special an amazeing.

Wow, that's great! Congratulations to you and to Zak-n-Wheezie! They are going to be (even more) famous. It's pretty cool that they're going to be in the comic strip just a few days after their first birthday. I'm very excited to see it. And I'll be looking for the Ripley's book when it comes out too.

That is so awesome, Barbara, Your are making history with your babies, much deserved for them, and all of you that have been caretakers and so loving, we will all be watching. :notworthy:

Wow! I am so excited for you guys, now they can get the "star" power they and you deserve! Coudos to you and yours for doing such an obviously fantastic job on raising these two beautiful guys! It's too bad you couldn't make small paperweights, like HowlinGaledragon's pic, from the boys feet, and sell them, I think you'd have alot of customers.(put their names on it,or "famous from Ripley's," etc.) It would be a fun family project, and we'd all benefit from it, It would be great to have something personal from celebrities. Maybe you could retreive some of the $75,000 you deserve, but will never get, cause you'll never let your babies go. Just a thought, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM :wink:

Why not....................... you have one of a kind,..........their soon to be 1 yr................. you've all put in a million hours in care................ and I would be your first customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In response to the last comment, moms usually end up with the work 'cause we do such a GOOD job!!!! Congrats to you for your wonderful efforts, look at the result! We all love our wonderful beardies :notworthy: :love5: :love5: but to see Zak & Wheezie is truly a miracle. So let us know when this all happens, I'm putting June 18 on Sweetie's calendar. :study: You guys are so much fun, keep the pics coming. I'm haveing problems with our camera the video doesn't want to work right.
I was hinting for a new camera for Mother's Day but it didn't happen. So here are
a couple of more still shots.

First Zak-n-Wheezie lit-up from basking
Zak-n-Wheezie have a handicapped basking site... a towel. It's the safest thing I've
been able to come up with.

I have to lower their basking site to accommodate them. We raised the area slightly
with a small step-up platform made of cory tile.

Now Zak-n-Wheezie after spending 3 hours outside at a local car show.
Wow! They got yellow!

Hey! If anyone has any ideas for a handicaped basking site let me know. They tip over kinda easy if up off the ground. I was thinking maybe like a handicap ramp with repti carpet on it for grip an a platform at the top of the ramp. :dontknow: Any :idea: :help:

I think this is a compromise. I know they don't look comfortable but they are.
They tend to get themselves into some very ackward positions

Just thought that I might share some of the ackwardness involved in their day.

You might put a railing around the upper edge so they can't just fall off. Maybe up the ramp, too.

Okay sense I can't do a video right now I'll just have to drive everyone nuts with still shots.

The reason for the paper towel is I'm trying to potty train Zak-n-Wheezie. Wish me luck! They won't go poop on their repti carpet. So.. I thought that this might be a good time to try potty training. I mean what the heck we can potty train our cats and dogs with news paper why can't I potty train my beardies with paper towels?
