Just thought we could start identifying things around the house that indicate a house full of beardies, i.e. You know you're living with beardies when...
while barefoot, you step on a thorn. When you remove it, it's actually a shedded beardie scale!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Crickets sing from all corners WITHIN the house!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Your refrigerator is full of worms and this is a very good thing, not a sign for a serious cleaning job!

I know there are many more ways that show others we are doing things a little bit differently! So, how do you know you're living with beardies?

LOVE IT! BeardyDragon & I were just discussing different biomes earlier tonight, they are in the middle of all that right now... our dragons will be going for a visit to her school soon (get better Xena so you don't miss the trip)

Quite! Considering it was a lecture hall filled with somewhere around 150 students, and I had some that recognized me over a month after that and thanked for an easy question on the final, I'd say my presentation was a hit! It's always fun to bring the dragon somewhere new, they're quite the attention hogs

... you are careful to remove all green clothing upon walking into your home, as a dragon may mistake it for food.

... you also do not drink green sodas or juices in front of the beardies.... MoMo tried to drink green fruit punch today. :lol:

we went on a couple of field trips to examine biomes, and oddly enough, they had one type of dragon and not the other!

You get the almost scream when you're out and about.

I always try to grab a beardie to take to the door with me if the bell rings and I am not expecting anyone. :wink: :lol:

My husband takes the beardie everywhere with him lol. We went to mcdonalds the other day and while waiting for our food we had points and stares at the dashboard. He had him on his arm even while handing the lady in the drive thru our card. lol. She was like "your going to scare the crap out of the girl at the other window" ha ha it was great

you have 3 adult dubai roaches that the breeder you got your baby from a month ago gave you with hopes that they would breed and make you some lizard food. A month goes by and nothing happens, and you absentmindedly tell your 10-year old son he should go in there and give the roaches a "birds and the bees" talk to get them motivated. Then your 10-year old snaps you back to reality when he comments with a smile, "I would, but I'm not sure I got the whole story down"...

Trust me, it works most of the time. The last time I had Kana on my shoulder it was some guy giving a who-to-vote for shpiel and he was like, Oh look, you have a lizard on your shoulder, and just went on with it.
YKYLWBW you spend more money on professional photos of your lizard than your parents spent on your high school senior pictures (we had them done at target)

your son speaks up at his cub scout meeting while they are discussin home safety and says "No one will come into our house because we have a Dragon with a tude and 3 hairless rats"!!
you shop for ONLY the dragon not the family
you arrange a sitter for your dragon when you can't take him with and make sure the sitter has a detailed list of what to do and not to do and an emergency number to reach you!!
