THANK YOU! This is the info I'm looking for. Placing the order for Panacur. I know it's not like coccidia but should I know more about sanitizing his viv? Handling him? More/less, only for baths, gloves? We are very cautious about washing hands and such since we have small children and a true fire skink as well. So, no cross contamination.

We NEVER feed our reptiles crickets as we have a dubia colony and when feeders deplete we go to calciworms for a day or so. (Just giving a little background).

Are there things that we should be looking for or doing specifically? Also, is that a high amount of eggs? And this means that my boy DOES have actual pinworms, right?

I probably sound ridiculous but Batman is my first and only beardie and is just 4.5 months TODAY! Poor birthday boy :(

Haha it's okay to ask lots of questions. Yes, he does have actual pinworms. The eggs are the indication that they are there. It sounds high, but I'm not sure how they measure exactly. Handling shouldn't be a problem - they aren't "contagious" to humans as I understand it. I would take out as much extra furniture as possible, leaving just a basking spot and food bowl as needed. Replace any substrate with paper towels for easy sanitation, and really clean his tank before the first treatment, thoroughly spot clean after each poop, and then another big cleaning a day or so after the final day of meds. I would keep him away from the skink, and anywhere the skink may go as well. Otherwise, he should be pretty much as usual. Just keep washing hands meticulously.

Learning of your own personal experience was a huge help and I'm breathing again ;) I am going to do what needs to be done ASAP and rest easy knowing Batman will be back again.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
