Does what hurt? Biting? If so then yes I would guess it does because they do have sharp teeth in the back. I have never been bit, so I would not know first hand.

hayleymason, ive been bitten many of times and it could go both ways!! Anytime I ever been bit no it does not hurt!!! The babies it just feels like a squeeze and for an adult it is a lil pinch but never once did I ever have blood drawn!! Good luck.....

The only time I was bitten, it caught me by suprise. I has smashed banana on my finger and my dragon was licking it off. Then she decited to take the whole thing, finger included. It startled me, but didn't hurt. She did hang on by just her mouth, and with all of her weight (full grown) it didn't break the skin much.
However, she did try to take a bite of my eye when whe was laying on my chest. No sudden eye movements!! You should be fine.

Wow, I was bitten once and it hurt...broke the skin. My son was bit once too and it went thru his fingernail and bled. Mind you it didn't hurt for long and didn't do too much damage. Bites were by 2 different adult dragons...I guess they don't mess around.

My 9 month old bit me hard a couple of days ago because I had a roach on my finger that she wanted. It is a few scraped lines, skin broken, but no blood. It startled me more than anything.

I always found that it felt like taking a fish off a hook. You can feel that there are teeth there, but they aren't really going to draw blood or anything. Spike gets me every once in a while when I'm feeding him his veggies. Doesn't hurt at all.

Been bitten. Beardies can give you a real nice pinch but basically they are the equivalent of a Chihuahua in the lizard world. It's funny how we are afraid to get bitten by small things when you think that most of us have dogs or cats with much larger teeth and we don't worry about them. lol. Unless you are keeping large monitor type lizards who do have big pointy toofers that could take a nice big chunk outa ya, most of us don't have much to worry about. My son is getting a baby tegu for his birthday so I am sure to have a really nice bite comparison in the future.

I got bitten by a rescue beardie I had. Let me tell you for her being weak she sure can bite hard!! She took of a nice chunk of my finger off and it hurt like hell. Bled like crazy just like I had cut the tip of my finger off!! Then I have been bitten by my adult and its like a pinch and then the babies its just funny when they bite like they think it hurts but its not even like a pinch.....just feels funny!

backing off is really the worst thing you can do. It makes him think he's in charge, and you'll never make any progress. If he really scares you, get a pair of gloves. But seriously, like most everyone before me has said, it really doesn't hurt more than a pinch, even when they draw blood, which isn't often.

If they get to know you now there's a 99.9% chance they won't attack later. The only times I've ever been bitten is when I'm mistaken for food/ when there's food on my fingers they want (I really need to be more careful lol). Seriously, though, the only time I've ever been seriously puffed at was when I wouldn't let Lilly sleep in between my mattress and headboard  .

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
