No he doesn't walk like it he just sits like it sometime, not all the time.

Im using the zoomed 10.0 tube bulb and I am using repti-cal calcium with the pink letters.


He just sits like it sometimes but if I fix it myself he will sit normally.



Edit: He is always very active and he doesn't always sit like it. But im still kind of worried.

My beardie never does that and it would concern me if it did. I don't think it is normal for any creature to do that.

Im really watching it now, he hasn't done it all day. Im just keeping a eye out because I don't know what it is.

Its a few weeks old and it is "blocked" by a metal screen

You want to not have the UV obstructed by anything, not even screen mesh. Also the dragon should be able to get 6-8 from the UV source.

I don't think it's anything to be worried about as long as he's not walking or keeping it permanently like that. My beardie rests his hands awkwardly at times while he's basking or if I position him strangely. He actually won't fix it himself, so I have to fix it myself because I think it looks uncomfortable. Right now he's basking with one of his hands with his front toes pointed toward his tail and the other hand resting on the brick. I honestly think that's how he arrived at the brick, plopped himself down, and was just too lazy/didn't care enough to move it.

Its pretty much impossible to get that close with this tank

Can you try to make sure that he can get within 8 inches of the UVB. He not be getting the full benefit of the UVB through the screen and that far away.

Im going to try to get him closer and remove the mesh, hopefully he stops doing it. But I do think it is just him being lazy because he is a pretty lazy beardie unless he sees crickets/worms.
