Waking up early

So I have been noticing that Rex has been waking up 1.5 hours before his lights come on...I have has lights set 8am to 9pm should i do 7-9? thats 14 hrs not worried about the electric bill just him...

That seems normal, actually. Mine starts opening her eyes around 5:30am but the lights don't go on until 7am. It could just be because I'm checking on her then, of course.
