Hi. My sons beardie is about 4 months we think, he is 10 1/2 inches long right now and we are starting plans for a custom enclosure. I have looked at hundreds of threads here and elsewhere and feel pretty confident about everything but ventilation. No one says much about it. How do we need to vent his Vic so there is enough air circulation and the humidity won't build high?

A lot of people make Viv's with either mesh or screen tops. It works great for ventilation and keeps the humidity and what your house is running at.

It depends a bit on how humid and hot it gets in your house as well. As a rule of thumb I would say have at least two ventilation holes that create a bit of an airflow. Personally I have just a ventilation hole cut out in the left and right side walls of my viv. If you're in very humid conditions I would make sure you have plenty of ventilation (outlet) at the top of your viv and make an inlet somewhere at the bottom like under the front windows. If you feel you don't have enough ventilation you can also go for forced ventilation by using computer fans. If you google on that I bet you find tons of info on that, I've seen people going nuts with that with airhoses leading outside their homes and everything...

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
