hey there everyone! so i've been wanting to add variety to lenny's greens. Usually gets mustard or dandelion greens, and eats majority of them..but I want to start giving variety. Usually he gets a sweet potato as a treat or watermelon every once in awhile but I was wanting to try squash now that it is in season.

My question is, for the 6 squashes listed on beautifuldragons, do they need to be cooked or served raw?

Also, what other veggies can I add that he can eat daily...other than other specific greens, is there anything that is safe to give daily that isn't listed on beautifuldragons.com?

Our beardie LOVES arugula, also called rocket. It is a good green veggie staple you can feed daily. He also enjoys bell peppers, all colors, but he is partial to yellow.

Collards and mustards are good staples, squashes are best raw. I like to shred it in a cheese grate and that works awesome. You can try cactus pads, cactus pears, and the other greens for staples.

I feed arugula and/or turnip greens daily. These 2 greens are his favorites. We tried many different veggies to find what he likes the best. But he does gets tired of the same stuff every so often, so we have to change it up when he starts acting picky. Just try many different things to see what yours likes and go from there. For example, we found that ours does NOT like collard or mustard greens, but loves turnip greens. He loves yellow & green bell peppers, but does not like red ones. He loves yellow & butternut squash, but does not like acorn squash. He also loves sweet potatos, but will not touch yams. And unlike many other beardies, our Izzy does not like many fruits, but will eat some of the melon-types (honeydew, cantaloupe) on occasion. Oh, and he loves mango!

They can be picky little buggers, just like kids!

how much of the spaghetti squash can lenny have? I know I can't give the outer shell, but can he eat more of the squash than just the 'spaghetti' part if i cut it up?

Can eat as much as they want of that! I like to knife off the skin, then cut into large cubes and run the cubes through a cheese grater. Works like a charm

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
