uvb bulbs.

i'm trying to understand uvb bulbs more better. are they safe-good to use? what kind of uvb should i use with a dome lamp? right now i use a 60watt house bulb that he is happy but some say they are not good to use. some have told me uvb is what i should use. i heard uvb gives out more rays. so what type of uvb can i use in a dome light?

Okay there are teo different kinds of lights you need:

A BASKING LIGHT, which CAN be just a normal house bulb(a clear one though) or buy a basking light from a petstore.This light is important for the proper heat on the basking spot where your beardie will bask to warm up & digest food.

Then there is the UVB LIGHT, which is very important.There are only two recommended ones on the market. the repti sun 10 TUBE or the Arcadia 12%. Both can and should be mounted inside the tank!
Beardies need the proper uvb to process D3 and Calcium.Without it theyll get MBD and/or eventually die(they stopp eating etc)

now i may have a light for the bulb but not sure if it's safe to use. i used it for a black bulb i bought the whole thing at spencers.

Go to the Pet Store or Order online, a ReptiSun 10.0 UVB TUBE Light, the tube Light need's to run 1/2 to 2/3 of the Length of your Tank. Go to Walmart and you can Buy a Fixture for the UVB Tube Bulb for $8. Just make sure the Wattage on the ReptiSun UVB Tube Bulb and the Walmart Fixture are the Same.

ReptiSun 10.0 UVB Tube and Arcadia 12% Tube are the Only Two Good UVB Bulb's on the Market right now. The Beardie NEED'S UVB or it will get MBD and end up Dying.

can u attach it inside with command hooks? thats what ive been hearing.i dont like this mbd thing i have it placed on top and i dont think its doing much.
