Boil it, let it dry, cool off, and presto your ready to put it in the viv.
However I'm not sure about the coral as it can sometimes be sharp and some may cut your beardie.

I too was going to use lava rock in my enclosure, till i read that lava rock has trace elements of lead in it and was considered a no-no for dragons. Better be safe than endanger your pet.

i think that lead is a "no-no" for most living creatures. the amount of trace lead found in lava rock would not be enough to effect your BD. You are probably supplying more lead in the water from the faucet than what will be found in lava rock

You could also use a sealant that is clear to seal in the lead, and still have a nice display of the rock.
Just a thought.

Since the article was about dragons they directed the "no-no" to dragons.
And if you say "probably" regarding lead in water ,then you "probably" are only speculating, unless you are a chemist?

no I am not a chemist but if you consider the FACT that lava rock is widely used for filtering WATER then I would "assume" the content of lead would be higher in water considering lead is one the most targeted substance to filter from drinking water. Therefor using a material that contains more lead than water just wouldn't make much sense.

I have questions about bubbles on our bearded dragons eye.

So he’s gotten bubbles on his eye. We wiped them off and it’s only been twice in the last few weeks. Should we be concerned? No coughing or congestion. He’s very hungry and sleeps well. He’s 8-9 month range. His humidity is 30-40 day time and as high as 50-55 at night to early morning.
Should we be concerned?
Swordtail has been doing a whole lot of "Lizard yoga" lately
Currently trying not to stress over my anemic dragon....she is being treated, but I don't agree with her treatment plan and have been seeking out a second opinion from another vet. If anyone else has dealt with anemia, please let me know how it was resolved. I am losing sleep over this
Another post lol. My beardie does not like enclosures. Her tank is the kids room and she has created a nesting/bed spot in the corner. She will cuddle with my son but she know when the lights are out and the kids go to sleep, she literally goes to her bed like she is our 3rd baby. I love her. And to think, I never wanted a beardie lol
